Travel Size Products (& Why I Love Them)

Travel products

Sample size, travel size whatever you want to call them..I love them.

Whether it’s a chance to try a new primer mini or having a purse sized version of a long time favourite mascara I swoon for these pint sized products.

Makeup for me is always an investment. If I’m paying $30 for a mascara I want to know that I’m gonna fall asleep at night looking forward to wearing it when I wake up. Having a ‘trial’ size usually gives me enough for atleast 3 applications of (insert desired cosmetic here) to make an informed decision of whether or not it’s worth my hard earned cash. I do occasionally jump right into the deep end and buy a full sized product without knowing if I’ll fall in love with it or not but hey, I’m still human-and an impulse shopper haha.

I keep some in my bathroom for guests, in my purse for touch ups on the go, and in my suitcase for travel. For the holidays I grabbed a few multi-sets to split up and wrap as stocking stuffers! The versatility is endless!

This is also where monthly box subscriptions and Sephora come to the rescue.

The monthly beauty boxes have usually 4-5 products inside to try and for $10-$20 varying by distributor. Sephora always has a new mini from one of the trending makeup brands they carry. Benefit is one of the most prominent I’ve found (and adore) along with urban decay, josie maran, tarte and a slew of others. Trial vials here usually range from $12 for a single to $100 for a set like ‘the lash stash’ or a themed grouping of many minis.

I’ve literally tried hundreds of mini products and since I’ve started this blog I have tried to review all the ones I’ve come across but there are so many! Which mini did you end up buying as a full size
