KFC Sun Lotion

KFC Releases a Sunscreen?

Yes you read that properly. The popular fried chicken fast-food chain has another chicken gimmick… or Is it an innovative way to smell good and not get a sun burn?

KFC Sun Lotion

This isn’t their first debut into the beauty industry. In May of 2016 they worked with the well known spice company, McCormick. Together they perfected the 11 herbs and spices to release an edible nail polish in Hong Kong (two ‘flavours’ Original and Hot & Spicy.) A new way to make biting your nails a delicious habit.

KFC Nail Polish

They created the scented lotion in order to ‘evoke childhood memories of visiting KFC’ and no doubt tempt you to go visit their stores to buy some real chicken. It will be limited to 3,000 bottles so you’ll want to get your soon to be greasy hands on it. For external use only, and comes in a 30 SPF.

As a huge sunscreen advocate myself, I’m thinking this is a foul way to keep from getting burnt (sorry I had to have at least one chicken pun in here, I’m laughing to myself way too hard!)

Should we be expecting a KFC beauty line launch soon?

I just heard about the sunscreen the other day, but I hadn’t heard about the nail polish. Either way, I think I’m going to have to pass. This southern bell loves fried chicken as much as the next person, but I don’t want to smell like it.

Honestly, that sounds super weird. My thoughts are two-fold: (1) there’s no way it will actually smell like chicken and will in fact smell gross, or (2) smelling like delicious fried chicken will make me hungry. Sounds like a lose-lose situation to me.
